Project Name: Project Managing Contract (PMC) for Heavy Products Quality Improvement of Bandar Abbas Refinery

Project Description

 

Heavy Oil Products Quality Improvement Project has been devised to reduce fuel oil production to less than 10%, to reduce the fuel oil sulfur content to less than 1% and to produce more valuable products.
Original process scheme was based on the use of the H-Oil Technology and a Basic Design contract was awarded to the Consortium of Japan’s Chioyda and Mitsui Companies. However due to the prevailing conditions and need for Anode Grade Coke in Aluminium Industry, the H-Oil Technology has been replaced with the Delayed Coker process.

The basic design contract of the process units required for the Delayed Coker process has been awarded to Iran’s Research Institute of Petroleum Industry.

 

 

 

 

HEIDCO’s Scope of Work:

 

HEIDCO's scope of work, as the Project Management Consultant, is to provide supervision services on the Basic Design, Detailed Design, Procurement and Construction Work performed by the Client’s selected consultants at first stage and Contractors at second phase.

The Basic Design of the Offsite and Utilities will be performed by the joint collaboration with the Client and HEIDCO.
