Shazand Arak Refinery with a capacity of 150,000 BPD was constructed on EPC basis back in 1991. The EPC consortium of JGC of Japan and TPL of Italy. Basic Design for the project was done by Owner (NIOEC).

Mr. A.Salehi of HEIDCO was Chief Process Engineer for basic engineering design of major portion of process units and Design Representative at TPL office in Italy.
